international journal for non-profit law

Not China-related per se, but I did think it an interesting resource for the future.  I received notice some time ago (actually in November now!) from the International Center for Non-Profit Law (ICNL) that there was a recent release of an issue of the International Journal for Non-profit Law (IJNL).  I figured that I wanted to alert my readership to this resource on international non-profit/NGO law, since there aren’t too many publications focused on such a narrow niche.

The November issue contains articles like:

A Comparative Overview of Public Benefit Status in Europe
David Moore, Katerina Hadzi-Miceva, and Nilda Bullain

Defining “Charity” and “Charitable Purposes” in the United Kingdom
Nuzhat Malik

Charities and Restrictions on Political Activities: Developments by the Charity Commission for England and Wales in Determining the Regulatory Barriers
Alison Dunn

The Development of NGO Support Organizations: The Early Years of the Australian Council for Overseas Aid
Patrick Kilby

There hasn’t been a China/Asia focused issue in some time (if ever).  Here’s to hoping that something related to our geographic region appears soon.  In the meanwhile, I wanted to point out the IJNL as a publication for anyone interested in NGO law to follow.  I also want to note that the ICNL is a great resource for English and translated materials about international NGO laws in various countries.  (which I myself rely on)
