careers in international law – 3/24, los angeles
Seems like the International Law Section of the California bar is busy this year. (it sure wasn’t last year as I recall) On March 24, its co-hosting a program with the L.A. County Bar Association International Law Section called “Careers in International Law” at Loyola Law School. (919 S. Albany St. , Los Angeles, CA)
No CLE credit, but its free, including a free meal. Which means that I highly recommend law students to hit this event. (and practitioners early enough in their career that they want to learn more about changing into international law) More after the jump.
Here is the program description:
Interested in developing an international law career? This program, geared both towards law students as well as practitioners, will feature a panel of seasoned attorneys practicing in several fields in the international law area. The panelists will discuss their respective paths in pursuing an active international law practice; provide advice about starting or growing an international law practice in this challenging market and answer questions from attendees.
I think this may prove useful to law students who want to know how to break into international law. I suspect that there will be many roads there through the panel. And like I was saying, law students, this is great:
All law students in attendance will receive Free Student Memberships in the Los Angeles County Bar Association and its International Law Section.
The panel looks interesting because there are a lot of areas. Fragomen is immigration law. Christie Parker is IP focused. It should be good:
* William F. Capps, Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP
* Jeffery J. Daar, Daar & Newman, P C
* Thomas J. Daly, Christie, Parker & Hale, LLP
* Donal Hanley, Aviation Capital Group
* David Hirson, Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP
* Moshe J. Kushman, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP
* Christopher Persaud Moderator
